Canning Electrical Services was founded by Harvey, who was born in Cornwall and moved to Gosport in 2016. Starting the business in late 2020, Harvey set out with a clear goal: to deliver reliable, high-quality electrical work to both homes and businesses in the local community and beyond.
Since then, we’ve grown by taking on a wide variety of projects—including everything in the domestic sector from replacing light fittings and adding sockets, to fully rewiring a 17th-century cottage in rural Kent, and in the commercial sector everything from installing emergency lights to conducting full testing and inspection on or large commercial premises. No matter the size or complexity, we bring the same dedication, care, and attention to detail, on every project.
In 2023, Harvey’s skills and commitment were recognised nationally when he was named one of the UK’s Top 30 Under 30 Electricians —a testament to the quality and professionalism that defines our work.

EICRs and Fault finding:
Everything degrades over time, including electrical systems, An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) will assess every aspect of your installation to identify any issues and ensure your installation remains safe and compliant, Any issues that this does flag, we can complete the remedial work to ensure your installation has a clean bill of health.
EV Charging
With Electric Vehicles becoming more popular, we can provide the charging solution that suits you. Whether it’s at home or in the office the team are trained and ready to get your charger installed and set up ready for your EV.
